Winter has arrived. It has been nearly one year since the zombie hordes claimed the world. As the plague eats away at its victims' bodies, the Fox survivors search for a safe place to rebuild what they have lost. But a dangerous new threat has risen, hunting them from every direction. To survive, Cash, Clutch, and their small band of refugees must put their faith in a group of strangers and a new government with radical plans. It will take all of the Fox survivors' strength and courage to endure in this barren, hostile world. Even that might not be enough. Deadland Rising, the conclusion of the Deadland Saga, is a journey through Dante Alighieri's "Paradiso", the tale on the seven virtues, reimagined zombie apocalypse style! (Note: This is a draft so please excuse any errors. The finished novel is available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook).

Life is always fun when you never get into trouble for causing mischief. Julie is a pro at keeping her packmates on their toes with her innocent fun. It's a perk of being a Comforter and never losing her puppy-like appearance. Admittedly, there are times when her skills are needed, and she takes her job quite seriously then. She isn't a fighter, but rather, is one who cares for others' hearts. A Comforter. After all, who doesn't want to hug a puppy? But those in need of comfort are often in pain and feel surrounded by darkness. To be a light in someone's world, you will have to walk through the darkness. --------------------- What do most werewolf books have in common? They either focus on mates or on fighting. I decided to try a more unique route. No romance will be found here - this book focuses on the ties of friendship and hope. It is a common practice that when one Alpha challengers another, the defeated wolf can either be banished into exile from the pack lands or be put to death if he or she refuses to go. Braydon Winters father, couldn't bring himself to leave the lands where his mate was buried and so once the fight was lost - welcomed the chance to be returned to her side. When the old Alpha was defeated, his now orphaned son became burdened with the same decision to make; stay and die or run. He ran. Angry and hurt his Father would leave him to fend for himself, scared and alone with no pack to take care of him - Braydon kept running until his wolf told him to stop and slowly his new life began. Problem with that was, sooner or later, life was bound to catch up with Braydon, but when it does will the human within the wolf costume be able to handle it?
