(CURRENTLY REVAMPED!) (The Slices of Life, #1) For years, one thing that had always bothered Serena Wilton is the idea of reconciling with a past friend. Whenever he was around, her eyes rested upon him; whether it was at classes or outside of school. She yearned for those wonderful memories again, but the looming fear just wouldn't let her initiate the conversation. Serena clearly remembered how their paths crossed in that one field trip, and the instant click as they interacted. He was nothing but a sunny friend with such contagious confidence... until that accident. Not only did he turn into someone Serena never recognized, but the relationship they built together, soured and crumbled apart. Even so, perhaps her plans can actually work if she's willing to push that stupid anxiety away and speak a word or two. Piece of cake, right? Rating: R+15 *** Updates: Irregular This book contains anime/manga illustrations (all drawn by me, unless stated otherwise) and sensitive topics such as depression and grief. 🎖- YARomance - Semesters of Love 🎖- Official Anime Profile - Light Novel 🎖- Official Teen Fiction Profile - Soul Deep 🥈- Undiscovered Writers Awards: Light Novel 🥈- Spotlight Awards: Teen Fiction

Judging people is everybody's favourite time pass. We judge people on the basis of how they look, how they talk, how they walk, their clothes, language, nationality and what not. Judging people is as easy as sitting and dreaming. But people fail to understand what impact their judgements have on the people whom they are judging OR maybe they don't want to see the other side of the coin. People need to understand that their judgemental words may act like a lifelong scar for someone and every word they say deepens that scar bit by bit. Here is a true story about a group of teens who were judged on different criteria.

The world as we know it ended 209 years ago. From a desert wasteland springs a single kingdom, ruled by a tyrannical King and trapped in an endless war against the shadowy desert warriors. As a desperate bid to save what remains of humanity, society has been split into two distinct classes, nicknamed the Court and the Commons. For an oppressed population on the brink of revolution, a common thief could be the last hope. Up until now, Kay has survived by her wits alone. Reckless and impulsive, wanted by the King's guard, Kay has become known as the Runner. Using the city's rooftops as her personal domain, she manages to keep one step ahead of the King with one hand buried in the purses of the courtiers. Driven by the plight of the commoners and the unjust death of her family, Kay seizes the chance to graduate from small-time thievery to full-scale rebellion. Her opportunity comes in the form of Will, a wealthy ex-soldier with a dark past. Plucked from the streets and thrown into the shimmering palace court, Kay must use her every strength to blend into a world where she doesn't belong, closer to the enemy than she ever thought she would be.
