So, this little rushed story was one I did based off of an idea I came up with at work. It's not much, and the story itself probably isn't even that good, but I wanted to get the idea out of my head before it distracted me entirely. This is probably my first vampire, at least the first one I can remember, so I thoroughly hope it is enjoyed, no matter how short it is!

When civilization falls... It falls fast. It's not like what the books or movies tell you. People aren't that ignorant. When the end comes, they know it full well. Even if they aren't consciously aware of it. And it is in the nature of people to do whatever it takes to survive. Even if it means taking up a mantle of cruelty. This is a story of three men. The Leader. The Shield. And the Guide. In the chaos that has descended, with the world torn asunder, the road to survival is paved with the very purest of evils that humans are capable of inflicting. Nobody is exempt. Not even these three. This is the story of their struggle against the destruction of their world. The struggle against mankind itself. And the struggle within themselves.
