Can a natural killer learn to be human again? Regan's unique talent for murder makes her a perfect assassin. After a lethal encounter leaves her broken body washed up on a beach, she finds herself adopted by a group of teenage bodyguards. She doesn't intend to stay for long, but soon Regan finds herself faced with a choice: become a hero or stay a villain? *** The boy played with the flat brim of the cap in his hands and looked around the room. He sat back in his chair, trying to look casual, but the heel of his hi-top sneaker drummed rapidly on the concrete floor. Regan sat opposite him with her legs crossed and her hands folded on her tartan skirt. She watched him without a word and brushed a strand of blue-dyed hair behind her ear. Somehow this seemed to unsettle him more. 'Calm down,' she said. 'It's just murder.' *** Author's Note: Darkness Girl: Trickster God is represented by Louise Fury from The Bent Agency. P.S. The epic cover was made by Paul Kopetko (you can stalk him at paulkopetko.com). Enjoy!

In Elemental magic you can be one of four magic types; water, fire, earth, and air. The only problem is Violet is none of these things. Is she what they call a magic dud, or is she something rarer, more powerful, and more dangerous than anyone could have imagined!? Teasers, "Em, most girls sneak out for a boy, you sneak out for a unicorn." I began to cry as it reached for my face."No!" I screamed. "Please No!" I went to pull back the shower curtain, but some nagging thought in the back of my head stopped me. I didn't have a little brother, so why was there a little boy in my bathroom? I gulped and with shaking hands pulled back the shower curtain. "What!? How could that be!?" I yelled, and covered my hand with my mouth. Shouting wasn't such a good idea right at this moment. If someone heard us and came up here to investigate the noise we were making, they would find a boy and a girl, a bloody knife with both their finger prints on it, and a very very dead body. "Don't touch her!" he hissed and lunged at Henry. Running through the night wearing nothing but a flimsy hospital dress, while waving a dismembered hand in his hand, was a strangeness no regular person could hope to inspire to.

He lit his cigarette, I lit nothing. He drank alcohol, I drank water. He smirked, I smiled. He didn't love me, I didn't love him. He and I together wouldn't last a day. And then the game started... He said he found me intriguing, unique, and interesting because I didn't swoon over him. "You and me Grey, let's play a game. We'll date and in three months time I promise you will fall for me. When you fall in love with me between that time span, I win. If in any way you were to win I'll give up all the alcohol, cigarettes, and player ways." It was a game I wasn't willing to lose, but all games had accidents and consequences. It takes a broken heart to know how to break a heart.

She was beautiful like the words she writes in her note books. She was addictive like the pills in her pocket. Chasity was everything mothers warned their sons about, and everything that made their sons not listen. She was everything.

I have a problem with dictionaries. They have thousands and thousands of words defined in such a clear manner. Written in black and white. As if a clear definition would reduce the magnitude of their problems. So that they could refer to it and cut off all beings and incidents not covered in the realm of a single definition. Instead of decreasing their problems, they have magnified them. Would homosexuals have had to fight for their rights if sexuality had not been defined? Would people be judged by exams if exams had not been defined as a set of questions on a piece of paper? What about love? Happiness? Hatred? I guess, what I'm trying to say is, that some things, like the human emotions and the human behavior, are better left undefined. So that a person can approach it, and explore it and keep on exploring till there's nothing left to explore and come up with a definition. A definition that he is comfortable with, and that he believes to be true. And here, get rid of the notion that every person will ultimately reach the same definition. Oh, no. Each individual will come up with something that is new, and unheard of. But here's the thing. If you grab a dictionary and start turning its pages, it will give you the definitions of words like magic, life, death and many others. And immediately after the end of the definition, a new word will be typed in. No space. You will find no space to explore. To make your own definition. But what if? What if there was a dictionary that left these spaces blank? Gave you the power to chose your own definition? What would you do then? And this, ladies and gentlemen, was the idea given to me. And this is the idea that changed my whole life. My name is Trixie Price, and this is my story. I'm an ordinary girl; living in an ordinary world, living in fragments of time that define my existence.
