Harley Atkins is lost.
A car accident took away her ability to play soccer. It took away her father's will to live. Her family is a ghost of their former selves, roaming around the house. Now she's in a new town, Dad's in rehab and every time she talks to her Mom it's almost always an argument.
The fear of new beginnings is softened when she makes quick friends with Mari and the cute boy Grayson. Who also happens to have a cute cousin, Dallas. Harley is suddenly a little less apprehensive of the new school.
Grayson Night is exhausted.
Since his mother passed, he's been pretty much raising his little sister. His father turned to the bottle. He has resigned himself to the fact he will always live in the shadow of his cousin, Dallas, and the girls that want him were leftovers.
However, all this changes when he meets Harley. Smart, sassy, sweet and of course beautiful. Sure there's some things she doesn't want to talk about, but he isn't screaming his father is an alcoholic from the rooftop.
Maybe two broken people equal a whole.
