Many of his closest friends know his sexuality, yet he's aware of the way people always stand clear of his presence. He can't stand the sneers he continues to receive around Camp Half-Blood and isn't bound to add his sexuality to the list of reasons why people judge him. Meanwhile, Will Solace is the brightest and most lackadaisical character placed around Camp Half-Blood. Leiyna (pronounced Lee-nuh) Newton is a 16 year old badass who's parents are almost never home. Leiyna is the best student in her school, but nobody and I mean nobody messes with her. One day, her parents come home and tell her that they're spending a whole month with her. Leiyna and her parents become very close and she starts to become a daddy's girl. After the month is over, her parents leave again. Her and her parents talk at least once a day. But, 3 weeks later, Leiyna gets a call from her mother who tells Leiyna one thing while sobbing "Leiyna, sweetheart, your father got into a car crash, he was killed". After that phone call, Leiyna becomes depressed and shuts everyone at school out. Her mother comes home 2 days later and says she's going to find a job near home so she doesn't have to leave Leiyna for too long. Leiyna's mother is constantly bringing up her father's death. One day, Leiyna snaps at her mother, who then slaps Leiyna. Leiyna runs away, heading into the woods.
