What if Peeta was never hijacked

What if Katniss loved Peeta in The Hunger Games and wasn't acting? What if Gale liked Katniss and the feeling wasn't mutual? Starting with Catching Fire, this is my version.

Katniss Everdeen graduated from prestigious Mockingjay University, Summa Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in corporate business. She gets a job at Panem Import/Export corporation. One night Katniss meets an extremely attractive man with ashy blonde hair & intense blue eyes Katniss's ever seen. .What Katniss doesn't know is that she works for, the mafia when she accepted the job she sold her, soul to Lucifer/The Devil. Peeta must, find a woman to marry, if he's to take his fathers place when he retires & to be The Devil after marriage.

Book 4, Sequel to Death of the Mockingjay. Ten years have passed since the fall of the Brotherhood of Retribution and the return of the Hunger Games. Panem has fallen into a peaceful time when the people are happy and the country is prosperous. Peeta and Katniss Mellark are living a blissful life with their family in District 12 but life is going to be turned upside down in way they could never imagine.

After the war, Peeta Mellark is left scarred, hijacked, and broken. After many weeks of rehabilitation, he is finally allowed to return home to District 12. But there is nothing left except a girl he was programmed to hate. He tries to overcome those feelings of fake hatred as he starts to care for her again as much as he once did before. Katniss Everdeen is alone. Everything she'd fought for had turned out to be nothing in the end. She's haunted by the terrifying events of the past and the ghosts of the people who'd brutally died for her. When on the verge of giving up, she finds herself seeking comfort in the boy she once hated, loved, then lost. Her confused but strong feelings are revisited when she finds herself as the nightmare of the only person who can make her feel safe. How can two broken souls grow back together when it seems so inevitable? (This is a double perspective, each chapter is either in Katniss or Peeta's point of view. These characters were created and are owned by Suzanne Collins, not me (duh) this is also the third book to a three part Peeta perspective series. This story and also the other two stories could be read by themselves, so you wouldn't HAVE to go read the other two before this one)

This is what I think happened to Peeta while he was in the capitol being hijacked in the book Mockingjay. Why they hijacked him instead of another way of torture? Also, what happened to Johanna Mason.
