Christopher Reed wanted to start a new life in Leavenworth, away from people, hoping to escape the grief of losing his wife Janice in a terrible car accident. The charming cottage he bought with the most alluring garden was perched on a plain near the woods. It was meant to be his escape. As soon as he stepped into the house, he became aware of a chilling presence. Strange things that start happening make him second guess his decision of moving to Leavenworth. When a demon is tasked with finding the key to unlock the Gates of Hell and bring about the Apocalypse, no-one would have guessed what a HELL of job it would be! For a start, he doesn't have a cool demonic name like his friends. And things keep going wrong, like the police, the hospital and the priest. All he wants is to show what he can do and have a nice latte! And cause Hell on Earth, of course...

This is a story about how past sins will never go away.

A collection of paranormal, horror and fantasy short stories woven around old legends, odd characters, the occasional werewolf and the darkness within, some of which have been published or picked up the odd award. There are things you cannot see unless they want to be seen, and some legends linger on despite the modern world. A Gift in the Dark is a compilation of short works, many based around old myths and legends, and starts with a tale of a miner's descent into madness, history and legend, drifts through darkness, past a retelling of Red Riding Hood, up a crane, and along to the end of the world.

~A Former Wattpad Featured Story~ After a night of drinks and fun at a bachelor party, Ricardo Gonzalez and six others find themselves stuck inside an abandoned hospital the morning after. Having little to no memory of the events from the previous night, he wakes up confused inside a locked room. A short moment later a voice from a radio emerges, informing him and the others of their current situation. On the wall is a list of rules written in red, and the rules talk of two wolves among the group. The participants are being forced to play a sick variation of the party game called 'Mafia.' In order to survive, the rest must find out the identity of the two wolves and kill them before they do. Only one side may remain, and only death awaits the participants if the time limit is reached and there is no clear victor. Will Ricardo have what it takes to survive this ordeal? If it comes down to it, will he have it in him to kill his own family? - - - [For those asking/assuming, this story has absolutely *nothing* to do with werewolves] This is my oldest work, and probably my worst one in terms of writing skill lol but please do enjoy it!
