Allison Montgomery wasn't your average teenage girl. She liked punk rock bands and dressed in all black almost all the time. She already had a hard time fitting in at her school in Cleveland, Ohio, so she figured she would have an even harder time fitting in at her new school in Sydney, Australia. When she meets Luke Hemmings, the typical bad boy who could get any girl he wanted, her life will take a huge turn. But for better or worse?

He worked in the tattoo parlour across the street and she worked in the florist around the corner. He was the dark guy and she was the colourful girl. They didn't have anything in common but when Luke buys flowers in Noelle's shop for the first time they realize that sometimes opposites attract.

You'd think having to deal with each other since Year 7, they wouldn't be a big problem, but that's where you're wrong. Renn and Luke have always hated each other, and probably always will. But the other boys can't take their bickering when they brawl it out after Luke pranks Renn's 18th birthday cake. So they decide the only way to get them to be friends... is to connect them in a way that no one can interfere, and they can learn the weaknesses and strengths of each other.
