"She opened her eyes slowly, as if too much light would flood her brain and wash her thoughts away. Very slowly, for what was being revealed to her in the thin crescent of light instinctively made her want to shut her eyes again. It was not bright, outside, or maybe it was. It wouldn't be the first time her brain lied to her. Thoughts, she just couldn't trust them, thoughts, they were like dust bits floating in a shaft of sunlight. Yes, very evil dust bits, here one moment, gone the next, indistinguishable from one another, in and out, in and out, and disrupted easily, so very easily."

"A girl sat down at a table. It was not a memorable table, but it was a very memorable girl. She was beautiful; not in a light flowery sundress kind of way, but in a way that demands the mind to wonder how the girl got through whatever she did..."

Today, we step back from our own problems, and into our imaginations. Today, we choose not to follow that journey of a human, with feelings like ours and problems like ours. No, today, we venture a bit further into our imaginations to discover the thoughts of one of nature's most extraordinary creatures.

"I heard once of a girl who saw everything. She could stand in one place, and if she waited long enough, the whole world would pass by her. And she waited, and she saw. She saw things as they are, as they could be, and as they were once in a time long past."

Five minutes of introspective, reflective thought. 365 days. Daily updates. Follow the journey as I break down, pick apart, sift through, and discover my own mind and my own heart. I see the world in a special way. Throughout these 365 days and 365 updates, the lens through which I see the world will be defined in its most basic form. The ingredients for a complete and happy life will be as clear as the ingredients on a food label. "Loneliness is the result of applying pessimism to independence. Courage is the result of applying optimism." "I had always wanted a superpower, and then I realized I was born with three: imagination, optimism, and faith." "A smile is a gift, a beautiful gift, and the easiest to give. Never stop smiling." "It is impossible to universally define a "normal" person. There is enough uniqueness, enough individuality, in each and every single person on this planet to determine that normality is a myth. Therefore, embrace uniqueness! Your oddities, your quirkiness, and your weirdness define you. Those are what make you beautiful." These are just four of 365 days of five minutes of introspection. It's easy to do, and the results are immediately incredible. I encourage you to try it for yourself! Or, at least, follow along as I try it for myself.
