Over the past year he has remained locked up in Malfoy manor - a house now considered by locals to be haunted by the ghost of Lucius Malfoy after his death at the hands of aurors while trying to escape after the great battle because screams and cries could often be heard from the walls - due to the haunting realization of what he had done, and the torturous memories he had to endure. But now he has to face his fears and earn the forgiveness of those he has hurt, starting with the woman he treated like scum.

The Golden Trio and their friends are all back to finish their last and final year at Hogwarts after the traumatic Second Wizarding War. However, when Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy are selected as Head Boy and Head Girl, the two enemies are inevitably forced to spend time together for the concluding year. Additionally, they unknowingly still face the impending threat of what is left of Lord Voldemort's dark forces. In spite of the turbulent year that is to come, Hermione soon discovers the real complexity of post-war Draco while Draco discovers new feelings and hope in his troubled life. His life hadn't been a bunch of laughs either during the war, and after he and his mother were set free, with Harry Potter's plea they were somewhat innocent, Draco wanted a chance to try one more year of school, also Drama free. So what happens when the two find out they are the school's new Head Prefects? Hermione can see something different about her former enemy - he's completely changed. Is it just an act? Or has Draco Malfoy, Hogwarts badass actually changed? Will they get along now he seems different? Or will they be throwing hexes at each other every night in their common room? Only time will tell.
