"Why hello," the Doctor cheerfully said, rubbing his hands together as he looked from left to right, a smile never leaving his face, "What have we got here?" Bilbo simply gaped at the strange man, the dwarves behind him getting ready for battle. In all of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will, how on Earth did the Doctor arrive here? After a month of travelling through the depth of space and involuntarily picking up a new companion who only wants to go back where she came from, the TARDIS had landed on a new planet, somewhere that the Doctor had never thought would exist: Middle-Earth. He didn't know what exactly was this fantastic land of strange creatures, and this wonderfully dangerous quest the Time Lord had decided to take part in, dragging along his new-found alien friend. But it was an adventure, and wherever an adventure went, the Doctor made sure to follow it- even if it meant countless days of hiking and trekking, fighting against monsters and orcs, defeating a huge dragon, taking a bunch of dwarves home and doing all of this without scaring a little hobbit. Doctor Who/The Hobbit crossover, with a character made up by me :)
