APO NG MABAGSIK NA MAMBABARANG Sa baryong puno ng takot at bulong-bulungan, isa ang pangalan ni Lola Mina sa mga hindi binabanggit nang walang pangamba. Kilala siya bilang isang mambabarang, dahilan upang ilagan siya ng buong bayan. Ngunit sa kabila ng takot ng iba, ang kanyang nag-iisang apo-si Adelina-ay iba. Masayahin, palakaibigan, at walang kamalay-malay sa tunay na kapangyarihang nananalaytay sa dugo ng kanyang pamilya. Ngunit isang araw, isang grupo ng mga batang lalaki ang lumapit kay Adelina. Mga anak ng matatandang tsismosa, may nalalaman sila tungkol sa katauhan ng kanyang lola. Sa una, panunukso lamang. Hanggang sa dumating sa puntong sinaktan nila ang bata-isang pagkakamaling hindi nila kailanman mapapatawad. Mula noon, nagsimulang gumapang ang bangungot sa buong baryo. Isa-isa, ang mga batang nanakit kay Adelina ay tinamaan ng misteryosong sakit. Dumami ang peste, gumapang ang mga insektong nagpapahirap sa buhay ng mga tao. At nang magsimula ang sunod-sunod na pagkamatay-hindi lang ng mga binata kundi pati ng kanilang mga pamilya-alam nilang isang sumpa ang bumalot sa kanila. Nang ang buong bayan ay nasa rurok na ng takot, isang balita ang kumalat-wala na sina Adelina. Umalis na sila, walang nakakaalam kung saan. Ngunit kahit wala na sila sa baryo, isang bagay ang hindi mawawala... Ang delubyo at bangungot na iniwan ng APO NG MABAGSIK NA MAMBABARANG.
