Freeing Princess Elena from the Amulet of Avalor was exciting enough for Sofia. But when Sofia and her family sleepover at Prince Hugo's palace, Princess Hildegard jealously tries so hard to upstage Sofia that her magical amulet pulls her inside! Sofia gets the amulet to choose Hugo to bear it and get her out. Hugo suggests the royals travel to Avalor, so he can travel to the Maruvian temple to release Sofia. But despite the procedure being performed correctly, the amulet won't release Sofia! It looks like Hugo needs another procedure to get her out, but what?

After learning that Prince Hugo's big brother, Axel, calls him "Baby Bro", Sofia's friends decide to give each other fun nicknames. Everyone is having fun except for Sofia, whom Amber insists on referring to as "Grape". She doesn't even realize that Sofia's feelings are hurt. Sofia's birthday is coming, and Prince Hugo has made a special gift for her: a beautifully handmade music box that plays a song his grandmother used to sing. But Amber doesn't think Sofia will like it and insists Hugo give Sofia a "better" gift. After many failed ideas, Hugo insists on giving Sofia the music box. But during the surprise birthday party, Sofia really isn't happy because it's very extravagant, and she feels like nobody cares about her. Luckily, Sofia's amulet summons Princess Tiana, who teaches the kids (especially Hugo) that a true gift needs to come from one's own heart.

Riding to Royal Prep on a foggy day, Sofia unintentionally makes an emergency landing at the Junior Knights Academy. When Squires Vaughan and Vance catch Sofia, they lock her up in the stables! When Minimus reports this to Royal Prep, Prince Hugo is the only one races to Sofia's rescue. But the Junior Knights try to lock him up, and he makes a run for it. Luckily, Sofia's amulet summons Merida, whom she sends to help Hugo believe in himself. Look out, Junior Knights; it's Prince Hugo to the rescue!

It's been a while since Sofia freed Princess Elena from the Amulet of Avalor. Now Sofia has a beautiful new dress, and her amulet is pink. Everyone at Royal Prep loves Sofia's new gown and amulet. However, Princess Hildegard is jealous because everyone thinks Sofia's ruby pink amulet is prettier than her new ruby necklace. Hildy wants the ruby pink color to look pretty with her gown, so when Sofia isn't looking, Hildegard steals the amulet. But before she even has a chance to put it on, the amulet disappears along with Hildegard's necklace! Where could the amulet have gone? Could the answer be under everyone's noses?
