what if because of something Tim's dad did to Tim's mom she is deaf and has hearing aids but they don't work very well so Tim and genny and her boys know sign language but no-one knows. when Tim's mom comes to LA and decides to visit her son at work everyone finds out that Tim knows sign language, but then Tim goes to the bathroom and leaves his mom with Angela.

Lucy Chen is just a normal officer, freshly a P2 and riding with her former TO Tim Bradford.
