Just when Aurora is finally taking control of her own life, everything seems to be falling into chaos. She leaves behind all that she's ever known to take a chance at life in an entirely new place. But America is nothing like England, and its inhabitants even more so. Trusting her brother to help her adapt, Aurora accepts his offer to stay with him and some of his teammates. Seven of them to be exact. She quickly comes to realize that her comfort-zone doesn't exist here, and everything is big, scary, and intimidating. Just like her brother's best friend. Maddox is Aurora's polar opposite, which explains the magnetic pull that he seems to feel for her. He knows that he's bad for her, that the bad in his life will only taint her purity, like a drop of ink in water. Maddox doesn't know what to think about the new girl, but he does know that he thinks about her way too much. He knows that he can't sit by while she struggles, and life in Greenville is sink or swim. Aurora's been thrown into the deep-end without a life preserver and the only thing keeping her from drowning is a tattooed hand reaching out to help her.

"Never call a girl a bitch," I glared into his eyes as he opened them, piercing into me, the bright blue drink I had just poured over him still dripping from his dark hair. "Or she just might act like one." I gave him one last sarcastic smile before pushing by him and walking away, practically strutting. Well, this year will be fun... • • • • Crystal Summers; a self-proclaimed expert in all things sarcastic and the human embodiment of destructive decisions. Trying to get away from her troubled past, she moves with her mom to California to start a new life, and potentially not screw this one up. There, she quickly meets Scarlett and Savanah, her new-found partners in crime, and her life finally begins to feel normal again for the first time in years. But she just so happens to also collide with the school's sexy, notorious jackass, Ashton Monroe.. and his pack of asswipes. She loathes him, and the feeling is mutual. But as the poets say, the line separating love and hate is a very thin one. And often times, when two people hate each other, it can grow into much more. Don't cry. Don't cry. You're stronger than that. He's not worth it. He's not worth those tears. I took a deep breath and blinked my eyes rapidly as I made my way out of the office. Kyle was over there smiling in victory and when his eyes met mine, he smirked coldly at me. This time I could hold my tears in as they fell from my eyes. As Kyle's eyes followed the trails of tears down my cheek, his smirk slowly dropped. He looked taken aback and his gaze softened. I shivered in anger and disgust at him. I cant believe I just let him see me cry. I speed walked out of the cafe's door. As I started to hail a cab, a hand grabbed my arm and turned me around. "What do you want, Kyle? Haven't you done fucking enough?" I screamed at him. "No, I--" "Are you happy now? Satisfied, yet? Huh?" I shouted at him as I repeatedly jabbed my index finger at his chest. "Kyle, This might be just some game to you but to me it was my only chance of survival." I paused, my voice husky from all the screaming and my tone laced with sadness, "And you just came and blew it away." I say as another tear escapes my eye. "Avery--" He gives me a pained expression and raises his hand to touch my cheek but I slap it away. "Don't fucking touch me!" I screamed and then said "You think that you're so high and mighty, don't you?" I croaked out in a sarcastic tone and the tears repeatedly trailed down my face. "Well someday you'll lose the one thing that you've treasured most and then you'll regret everything you've done." "But by then, it'll be too late because it'll be all gone." I finish and get in the cab as I wipe the tears running down my cheek. ☆☆☆☆☆ Actual summary of the book inside.
