A star-faring religious cult has created an army of robotic zealots designed to follow holy scripture. As the robotic menace spreads across the galaxy, it takes prisoners to be 'excommunicated': hooked into a neural simulation of eternal torment. Captain Rolland Barron leads the Sol Federation Starship Excalibur on a diplomatic mission. Cassia LaCroix is a wormhole hunter, earning a living scouring the galaxy for valuable tunnels through space-time. Prince Zoojin, a psychic alien from a distant galaxy, must prove himself worthy of the throne of Paxis Prime. The paths of these characters converge as they pursue their own motives, leading them towards the mechanical legion that is sweeping across the galaxy. COVER BY: rentachi AUTHOR'S NOTE: this is an early draft of the novel. I am very grateful for your readership and your feedback, which I have taken into consideration for a major rewrite. The new novel is completely different. If you liked the book, then please look forward to the release of the finished novel.

Federation takes close encounters to a whole new level. A galactic empire of a quarter of a million worlds stumbles across the Earth. Their philosophy on life is totally unexpected. With the help of intelligent automatons, they've turned a reviled political system into a utopia for the masses, but are they a force for good or evil? A Daragnen university graduate, Yol Rummy Blin Breganin, discovers that Earth failed in its attempt to join the Federation, and, for some unknown reason, members are forever banned from visiting or contacting the planet. Rummy had never heard of a whole world being outlawed. Perhaps it would be sensible to leave well enough alone but no, he decides to investigate... FEDERATION is the first in a series of near-future, hard science-fiction novels by Tony Harmsworth, the First Contact specialist. Submerge yourself in humankind's cultural and economic dilemma by reading Federation today. (c) Tony Harmsworth 2019

What if we were the first in our part of the galaxy to discover the secret of faster than light travel? What if this discovery was 10,000 years before it was supposed to be? Our neighbors had been watching for centuries and were surprised with our early arrival into the Web of Worlds... The Year is 2166: To the people of Earth, the universe seemed to be a very lonely place. Astronomers have discovered tens of thousands of planets; many had indications of organic life. SETI had been searching for signals for over 200 years. There had been a few tantalizing bits of radio or radar energy received but nothing ever proven to be of intelligent origin. But there was an alien civilization out there, in fact many of them linked together in a Web of Worlds. They were watching us quietly, carefully and patiently. It had long been the prime directive of the Web that no developing civilization be contacted until that civilization made it into interstellar space on their own; and that always took time, lots of time. Most Web worlds took 1,000 years or more to go from steam to the atom and none had made it from the atom to a sublight stardrive in less than 5,000 standard years. Every civilization of The Web had proven that faster than light travel was impossible, so there was plenty of time to watch the Earth... The watchers were astounded with the speed of progress of human science and also horrified at the periods of violence. By 2076 nuclear fusion power was widespread on earth. By 2100 the first interplanetary fusion ships explored the Sol system. The men and women of the Anglosphere Alliance began their first missions in ships approaching 0.1c. At that velocity, manned flight to even the nearest stars would take a lifetime. What would happen if a beautiful engineer and a brilliant physicist stumbled upon an artificial gravity field which would make a faster than light drive possible... The orbital debris salvage ship THX-1138 and its young Commander Lieutenant Joachim Lee and his crew are tasked to de-orbit an abandoned space station from the mid 21st century. They find the station has had a visitor from somewhere in the Deep Dark. This novella is a prequel to Earthrise: 2176 and takes place in the Universe of that novel. It tells the tale of an event which took place approximately 50 years before the adventures of the crew of the starship Richard P. Feynman. During the Center for Orbital and Reentry Debris Studies (CORDS), the North American Alliance orbital debris salvage ship THX-1138 and its crew found something unusual was going on with The Station Long March of the People #7. Was this event the real First Contact?

Nothing lasts forever. Not even the Solar System. Dubbed as the elite space pilots of Atlatian, Will Thurst and Gail Lynn are one of the many people who work for Atlatian. They were pilots whose duty were to make semi-annual rounds at space, installing the so-called atmospheric shields made to shield Earth from the Sun's unforgiving solar heat. Simple as it was, their lives would soon completely change when they realize they have a greater purpose not only for Atlatian but for the whole world. Join them as they try to make a way to escape the Solar System's inevitable end and create an entirely new world for them and the generations to come. But could they pull it off? ----- Laurens Denila, 2016 - 2019 Under Minor Project Sci-Fi

Three Spacecraft, two-hundred-and-forty colonists, twenty-five trillion miles and a discovery that changes everything. "Astronomicon: Inception Point" follows the human race's intrepid first steps into interstellar space, a colonisation mission to Proxima Centauri. The colossal distance and harsh environment are not all that stands between them and survival. This first volume in the epic Astronomicon series is the story of their desperate adventures and the political machinations that are unfolding back on Earth, which threaten to end space exploration permanently. With colonies on Mars and a thriving mining community around Jupiter, will everyone want to come home? ------------------------------------------------------- This is a complete rewrite from scratch of the first novel in the Astronomicon series. It's effectively the same story with many of the same characters (as it must fit with book 2 obviously) but there's LOTS of new stuff, the Elysian spacecraft has been completely redesigned and there are a few new twists added. The science has been hugely improved, the pacing tightened up and I've worked more on character development. Please comment on any chapters you like (or don't like!). I'm particularly interested to hear how this new version compares to the original. And don't forget, if you DON'T like a chapter, please DON'T vote for it! Books #1, #2 and #3 are out on Amazon. If you would like to support my writing, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE leave a review there!!!
