The title is self-explanatory

My young daughter has been watching a lot of Sofia the First on Disney Junior. The story is very straight forward. a marriage between her shoemaker mother and the King made her a Princess "overnight". My question, while watching this, is how did this happen? How did a lowly shoemaker meet, not to mention fall in love with (because they are ridiculously in love!) a king? With some liberties taken, here follows my version of how this romance unfolded.

Kings have been known to keep secret mistresses locked away in their bedchambers. But who says queens can't have their own lovers locked away elsewhere? As Queen, Miranda is the apple of her people's eye, yet it's difficult to attract just one certain person's attention and that is the King. Fickle as always, her heart gets stolen by her fictional Prince Not-so-charming's incredible wealth. But will this end in a happily ever after?
