This story is based on a season 19 episode called Matt's Love Story. Matt's Love Story was written by Ron Bishop and directed by Gunnar Hellstrom. The episode aired during season 19. Although I have taken license with the story, I have also borrowed some of Mr. Bishop's dialogue, This is an alternate (made up) version of what might have happened between Matt Dillon and Mike Yardner.
