In Elemental magic you can be one of four magic types; water, fire, earth, and air. The only problem is Violet is none of these things. Is she what they call a magic dud, or is she something rarer, more powerful, and more dangerous than anyone could have imagined!? Teasers, "Em, most girls sneak out for a boy, you sneak out for a unicorn." I began to cry as it reached for my face."No!" I screamed. "Please No!" I went to pull back the shower curtain, but some nagging thought in the back of my head stopped me. I didn't have a little brother, so why was there a little boy in my bathroom? I gulped and with shaking hands pulled back the shower curtain. "What!? How could that be!?" I yelled, and covered my hand with my mouth. Shouting wasn't such a good idea right at this moment. If someone heard us and came up here to investigate the noise we were making, they would find a boy and a girl, a bloody knife with both their finger prints on it, and a very very dead body. "Don't touch her!" he hissed and lunged at Henry. Running through the night wearing nothing but a flimsy hospital dress, while waving a dismembered hand in his hand, was a strangeness no regular person could hope to inspire to.

Highest ranking: #16 in Paranormal The arrival of the gorgeous Sterling brothers triggers a series of gruesome, inexplicable and magical events in the small town of Willow Creek. And at the center of it all is seventeen year old Cordelia Bishop. A dabble in Wicca is all it takes for her to unearth hidden powers, and a dark, messy past-both of which are centuries old. Before she can even get a grasp on her newfound discoveries, she's hurled into a world of dark magic and blood-lust. She'll have to navigate this new world, while trying to get a handle on her budding powers, keep her family safe, deal with a blossoming romance with the smokin' hot Cal Sterling, and an uneasy relationship with his brooding older brother Kol. Throw in terrifying nightmares of past lives, and you have Cordelia's new life. The Sterlings assure her they're on the same side, but that becomes harder and harder to believe when it becomes more and more evident they're hiding something. But as Cordelia will come to understand, the past repeats itself and so do mistakes. And in order to avoid being burned at the stake, she'll have to break her old habits. Too bad old habits die hard. Jemma has always known she's unique. Normally, being an orphan would be at the top of the list, but the rest of her peers at St. James's Academy are orphans, too. And she's spent the past eleven years living at the boarding school for orphans without too many problems. However, the moment Jemma receives a letter from an unknown writer, her unique "talent" of seeing the Grim Reaper begins to make more of an appearance.

[SAMPLE] In a world ravaged by holy war, Ari clings to one truth: mouths lie, but blood does not. When the past surfaces in fragments, he turns to Auovin, a demon who offers answers-and demands a price Ari does not yet understand. As the war's lies unravel, Ari's certainty fractures with them. What he thought was righteousness becomes control. What he thought was monstrosity becomes familiarity. The closer he draws to the truth, the more he is forced to confront the one thing he cannot outfight: what he is becoming. Daevas: Volume One opens a three-volume queer dark fantasy saga of remembrance, moral rupture, and the peril of being fully seen. For readers of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, it is a story where identity and monstrosity are impossible to separate.
