An identity. A proof of status. A name. That's the only thing a young she wolf ever wanted. A loss of lives. A loss of family. A massacre. Is what the she wolf never saw coming. A need for answers A need for justice A quest Is what she was destined to journey upon, but can she do it? In a pack far beyond the reaches of the modern world, the great North, a tradition is kept sacred for hundreds of years. A name is the reward for maturity and acceptance as a warrior. Every wolf is given their name by the Moon Goddess on their eighteenth birthday, but when a tragedy kills her pack on her naming day, a she-wolf must undergo a brutal quest to continue her bloodline. With the dying words of her mother ringing in her head, she must find a brother whom she had known nothing about, and unlock the dark secrets of her pack. Akina Johnson has been the laughing stock of her school for years. With scars spreading across her face, legs, arms and stomach and her never-ending insisting that they came from wolves, she was an easy target. She was used to the stares and the teasing, but when a strange new student, a striking boy, tells her he believes her stories about the attack, Akina is taken off-guard. And when the boy tells her that he has an explanation for the appearance of wolves in the forest behind her home, she's thrust into a world where instead of being the joke, she's a marvel- magic runs through her veins, but it's a magic that could threaten her safety. Akina is being hunted by werewolves good and bad alike; the cure to lycanthropy runs pumps through her body, and countless wolves are after her blood, and her power. Hey! While searching for a good werewolf book to read, I realized that almost every single one on this site either has very bad grammar, spelling, a rocky flow of words, or has to do with a rebellious girl whose mate is the possessive and controlling Alpha. I'm here to change that! "Wolf's Heart" is different from any were book I've read before, and my hopes are that y'all see that. Thanks!

"When will you accept me?'' Lucian murmured against my skin. The wonderful feeling only grew as he stepped closer, the thick muscles between our layers of clothing pressing against my back. He dipped his head. I could feel his lips against my ear when he spoke. "When, Victoria? I am tired of fighting with you. I know you want me just as much as I want you. Admit it." I couldn't. "Admit it, Victoria!'' Lucian's voice went deep when he raised it. Goosebumps prickled my entire body as he whirled me around so that we were face-to-face. I exhaled softly, hating the dominant position he had over me. Lucian wretched my chin up. His eyes were burning with a lustful smolder. "No." Oh, I would definitely get myself killed tonight. I knew my defiance was angering him further but saying I wanted Lucian would mean I was accepting defeat. And I didn't do that. Love was a game and I was determined to win it.
