As a cut off angel, it's hard to blend in with the normal crowd. However, Castiel is doing quite fine, outliving everyone else as a simple cashier at the local Gas 'n Sip. Sure, he may never understand humans, but it's a privilege to watch them go about their simple lives, while never progressing in his own. He just has no desire to; seeing that he hasn't found anyone worth falling - literally and metaphorically - for. Until. --- Just a fic inspired by a fanvideo. I don't own SPN, of course. God made Castiel different from the rest. Unlike the other Angels Castiel was made a fledgling, meaning he had to grow up and be raised. But who would be capable of doing such business? God didn't want to do it, he never raised the Angels and he did not care to start now. He simply wanted to see how this project would turn out. So he gave this baby to none other than the trickster archangel, Gabriel. One of the worst choices possible! Or so everyone thought........
