Dan is gay, but not the normal gay. He wasn't gay, not bi, and definitely not straight. The only person he loved was his best friend Phil. Dan knows he needs to tell Phil, so he does. What will happen once Phil knows the truth?

Daniel Howell is definitely NOT the most popular guy you will meet. He likes Pokémon, listens to "emo" bands, and not many people know who he is at university. One day, some new bloke gets into his class, Phillip Lester, and he changes everything about Dan's world. Whether the changes are for better or for worse, though, is what Dan can't quite decide.

Dan is a firm believer that love doesn't exist. Not in adults, and definitely not in high school. He detests silly love stories and petty relationships, posing as 'love', and nothing could possibly change his mind in that. But when new student Phil takes an intrest in Dan, he can't deny that he's interested in the boy. His bubbly personality and hopeless romantic ways draw Dan in.....and might just change his mind in the thoughts of love.
