On the Ark, having a second child is illegal. Which can result in the parents of the second child getting floated, and the second child being locked up until they were old enough to get floated too, leaving the first born without a family. At 12 years old Kayleigh was put in the skybox for her black blood, little did she know on the ground she was royalty. 3 months before her 18th birthday the ark sends 100 prisoners to the ground including Kayleigh. Once landed she is criticised and attacked for her last name (Kane) for some prisoners claim she is privileged. When the death of a close friend occurs she flees to the other inhabitants of the ground, for she is tired of the cruelty from the prisoners. She builds her way up through the rankings of a grounder, slowly growing more praised and respected. The 100 thought she was dead, but she was thriving.

She was a secret few knew of, a little trikru child raised within the bunker of the mountain men. One who swore to free the people she had never been a part of. And when a ship falls from the sky, she may just have a chance to also free herself.

Elizabeth 'Eli or Eliza' Ryan was locked up at 14 for murder. She is the youngest Doctor in over 52 years on the ark.
