Madeline is alone. Living at the edge of The Lost Woods with only her horse, she finds a forest boy named Link. He says that he saved the world once, and she joins him on a quest to stop the Great Ganondorf from taking over Hyrule. Alex is a 14 year old girl who's starting into high school. She's living with her 10 year old younger brother, Shain, and her 36 year old mother, Taylor. Alex, who lives a life without her father, Cody, has made a major decision in her life. She just doesn't care. She's given up. She has held onto this thought for as long as she can remember. And that is a very strong feeling to her. Will Alex yield to the bubbling emotions stirring within her shattered heart, or will someone come into her life and put the pieces back together? Is Alex's life doomed into disrepair, or will she find the strength to change?
