He is taken overseas and shipped off to the brutal country where he would work for a Duke by the name of Erik. Charles was a poor boy, extremely shy and extremely well read. His family was no longer alive and now he would be sent to live in a far away country with a strange man and his infant son. He would teach the boy languages and arts and mathematics. As he continues to stay in Lehnsherr manor, the Duke takes a special interest in the shy bookworm that has been spending so much time shaping his sons mind.

I saw a picture and wanted to write something so I created a story in my mind. Now I have to figure out how to get the story written.

Cherik AU He looks down at the injured body of his only real friend; his obesession. Maybe he is right. Maybe they do want different things. But, Erik wants Charles and will not rest until he has him. He figures it's only fair that he tells him so: "I'm coming back for you. I'm not giving up until you are by my side. I'm coming back and you will come with me. Whether you like it or not." He doesn't go himself at first, but when the news comes back around that Charles (his Charles) is . . . crippled (by Erik no less) things get a little out of hand.

Erik has disappeared into the unknown, vanished after he was exposed as a mutated tyrant on national television. The Whitehouse is in ruins and the world is in hysteria after the exposure of advanced beings. Mutants are in more danger than ever before, Erik, Charles and Raven's faces were broadcast internationally. Charles has returned home with Hank, and relapsed into his mindless alcohol fueled, mind-numbing drugged up ways; tumbling back into a crippling depression. Erik cannot be trusted to be left alone, scheming and dreaming up a new strategic master plan to rid the world of the un-mutated "Neanderthals", and replenish his squad of mutants -- with his own children: Wanda and Pietro. He must be found and stopped before he gets the chance to strike again and vanquish all hope of redemption. Charles dreams of bringing Erik back in and teaching him how to use his power for good; to teach him that being a mutant is a gift, not a curse; to teach him that just because someone stumbles - loses their way, it doesn't mean they are lost forever. But to ever foster any hope of restoring Erik to his former pacifistic glory, he must accept his own gifts and use them; no matter how much it pains him. He must suffer for the sake of others: for the sake of Erik. How much would you sacrifice for others? How much would you suffer for those you love? To what lengths would you go to try and reclaim the un-claimable?

Charles Xavier has been through too much. After losing his mobility after the events of the mission in Cuba, he's a shell of the man he used to be. Finding release in alcohol, he tries to forget all of what he has lost. He tries to move on with his new, broken family. But one man stands in the way of his happiness- the same man who took it away to begin with and broke his family. The same man who had caused Charles to become paralyzed from the waist down- Erik Lehnsherr. Erik has been racked with guilt ever since he had injured Charles- but he doesn't know how bad it is. Not until he runs into the man when they're both trying to rescue a mutant, and he sees that Charles is confined to a wheel chair.
