❇️ 2018 WATTYS WINNER! The Originals category ❇️ - "The Breakfast Club" meets "Nancy Drew" in this most unusual YA Mystery. SUMMARY: Five high school students, with little in common other than being descendants of the town founders, are forced to work on a history project together. But when their history project uncovers evidence of a long-buried town secret, the kids must piece together the clues behind their discovery before its legacy comes back to haunt them. ***** Using ACTUAL, archival material (some dating as far back as 1776), The Descendants weaves a tale of mystery and intrigue, constructed entirely from real photographs, documents, and snippets of history from a small, rural town in New Hampshire. What Dan Brown did with conspiracy theories in "The DaVinci Code" and Ransom Riggs did with historical photographs in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," I will attempt to do in "The Descendants," but with teen protagonists and the Cheshire County Historical Society. :-) Why? 'Cause I'm crazy like that! Yeah, I know...History?! Blah! But it actually turned out really fun! :-)

If Tyler Scott knows something in life is that you only give proper worth to something when you finally lose it. Or as Passenger sings, he only needed the light when it was burning low. He only missed the sun when it started to snow. He only knew he had been high when he was feeling low. He only hated the road when he was missing home. He only knew he loved her when he let her go. ©Copyright 2016. cover by silverfinger-

This is the last place Ivy wants to go to school, but it's either a snooty school with snobby kids or a military school with a bunch of troublemakers. Ivy is lucky enough to go to the school on a scholarship, but that doesn't mean that she or the other students are happy about it. With her almost fearless outer persona, her true fragile personality hidden, she catches The Lost Boys' attentions right away, and she isn't sure if that's a good thing. "Did you just quote Mean Girls?" Noah asks, tilting an eyebrow. I smirk, passing over his coffee. "Did you just admit to watching Mean Girls?" Auden Baker thought that college would sail by swiftly and silently. When she arrived into her empty dorm room, it was perfect. The calm before the storm. Then Noah Dillon walked in. Arrogant, undeniably cute and terribly stubborn just like Auden. Things could still go right, yeah? I mean, there weren't really any problems. Except for the fact that she might be slowly falling in love with him. And that they declared a joking war. [cover made by yours truly]
