"Lily?" he says in a soft whisper. She looks at his face, lightened only by the full moon. "What is it?" she asks with a hint of smile. He stares into the night sky, watching the stars. He stays silent for quite some time, then sighs. "I think... I mean... It's best if I just... We can't do this. I'm no good for you." For a moment, she's taken aback, but then she starts laughing. "What are you-" "I've done bad things, Lily. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, are you alright?" She looks up at him, thinking whatever has gone wrong between them. Was it her? Has she done something to push him away? "What have I ever done to you?" she whispers in hurt. "Nothing. It's all my fault for being an idiot." She opens her mouth to speak, but she suddenly hears footsteps on the staircase. Scorpius turns towards her, his silver eyes widened in fear. "Go. Hide. Now!"

"What's wrong, mate?" Albus asked me. He looked at where I was looking- the point where Lily had disappeared- and slapped his forehead. "You STILL fancy my sister?" Rose didn't say anything, which was odd for her. I turned my attention back to Al. "So what if I do?" I asked with false bravado. "Mate, she hates you like she hates Derrick McLaggen. Maybe worse." I remembered McLaggen. He was the Slytherin that I'd hexed into oblivion after he'd tried to make a move on Lils. That was when she'd hexed me worse than I'd hexed him.
