So I just got done reading the book, Red Queen, and I just fell in love with the story, so I thought I would write my own version of this phenomenal book! Mare Barrow, is a red blood, and she is betrothed to Maven, the youngest son of the sliver blood King Tiberias. The only reason Mare, or Mareena Titanos, is betrothed to Maven is because she has a combination of red and sliver blood that causes her to possess special powers, where the slivers have powers, but they need something around them to have their powers, Mare, can create energy. She can create lighting, or electricity. As the time passes she realizes that she can feel the energy all around her, and when she is about to be killed, she realizes that she can do even more than just shoot lightning out of her hands.

Maven Calore has lied,killed ,tortured, and betrayed Mare Barrow and many others. Mare Barrow is stronger now and all the betrayals have only made her even more so. Maven might have changed but "Anyone can betray anyone". Has he really changed and can Mare forgive him?

This Maven's POV during The Red Queen. "I guess it could've been worse. I could've been a Red." Maven: His mother wants him to rule almost as much as he does. She has a plan to make it happen too. He is only told a little bit at a time. Everything was simple until the Little Lightning Girl showed up. He began to fall in love with her. He still wants to crown more than anything. He's a monster and he knows that. He hates himself, why? Because he let go of the girl he only loves. He was smart but he's also stupid, and now, he'll do everything he can to retrieve what he thinks is originally his. Even if he defies his mother or the whole Norta nation just to be with her. FANFIC: MAVEN x MARE from RED QUEEN. Book focused on events from GLASS SWORD, but takes its own from there until the end. WARNING: Before reading, I want to get a few things straight. The characters, settings are all owned by Victoria Aveyard. I am a great fan of the Red Queen series, but after reading I still believe that Maven deserves something better that being a monster. I just can't shrug the feeling off that there's more to his side of the story. Aside from original scenes from the Glass Sword, I will be adding different story lines of my own.
