Elizabeth Rogers strives to become a model. She believes the only way to do this is to skip a few meals here and there. It's easy enough to do; her parents are constantly at each other's throats, Vanessa, the golden child, has recently been sneaking out at night, and her best friend Thalia is apart of the bet. Nobody at school pays her any attention. That is until the quarterback, Ashton McReynolds, starts to notice her. Sadly, this knight in shining armor might be too late.

Daiha Smith has everything, or, so it seems. Her dad received a promotion, and with that promotion, her family seemed to gain everything. But Daiha lost a lot in the process. Her parents are never home anymore, her sister cares more about her friends than her family, and Daiha has yet to escape the cruel remarks, evil stares, and just the mean girls at school.
