Death is immortality. Death is your second chance. Velian Terrashine belongs to a classless society of equality, art and democracy; a land full of creativity and mindfulness. It is in that perfect political system that one wrong movement, one careless mistake can cost her her life. Bound to live in disguise for fear of being executed for something she had no control over, the night of the Summer Festival she comes across another lethal secret that can change not only her life, but also the future of an unknown - to her world - kingdom. It is only when she ends up in the Gap World, a place between Heaven and Hell, that she realizes that someone can be truly and deeply alive even in a place of death and rain. highatmidnight | 2019 BOOK ONE All Rights Reserved

Watty's 2019 Poetry Winner An LGBTQ+ Poetry Collection, about the good, the bad, and the sad of coming out, dating, and existing as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I started so small With nothing to say for me at all Just a bird in a world of birds Just a being who has not much to show for themselves I worked hard though Even when everyone else cast me out Threw me out I stayed strong I battled the forces of nature As they came my way I kept going And learned to fly I flew above everyone else And saw what I had become With my wings outstretched I saw who I am; A mockingbird ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Dedicated to Keefe, who supported me when I found myself lost in the midst of my identity~

As Toby struggles to deal with the news that his dad's going to die, Jax struggles to support him, and even deal with his feelings for him. Julie is a mean spirited, rich girl, with a love for destroying others. But when her best friends start to turn on her, she's forced to come to terms with the truth, that her bitchy attitude is destroying her life. Jack is an abused suicidal dreamer, with too many self destructive ways. When his therapist suggest he writes letters to others to get things off his chest, he twists the idea into making them into suicide letters for the people who've wronged him. But what these vastly different characters all have in common, is that they are all going to the same therapy group. And while all of them are struggling, they all just want to finally, "see the stars". ~Dedicated to the man who is helping me to see the stars~ ***Trigger warning- Self Harm, Suicide, Abuse, Violence***
