- I can’t decide whether I liked the old days more than the present, he said sounding as if he was speaking mostly to himself. This time the hooded man turned to look at him, most of his face covered by the dark material, his head titling slightly to the side and his lips forming a small smirk. - And what do you know of the old days, boy? They existed long before you were even an idea in your parents mind. - I wouldn't know. I never met them. I do have a story from back then though. It’s about how the legend of Tiana started. The stranger flinched almost imperceptibly and stared at the young man for a few tense moments. Next his jaw clenched and he barely managed to speak the words that came out. - The dragon slayer is just a myth. Just a story The Fallen made up to blame their failures on.

I'm not really sure how many people know this but I daydream a lot. Not like zone out and forget where I am, just see pieces of stories in my head while I do things (yes, I can function and daydream at the same time, doesn't everyone?) Since it seems unhealthy to keep things inside I decided to put them all together in one book of the unchained thoughts (that no one in my real life knows exist :) )

For more than two thousand years the paranormal world had been in constant conflict. The number of victims that the war had claimed was unimaginable and the grief of those left behind only lead to more animosity, until finally their secret existence was no longer a secret. What once were fights to be carried out under the cover of darkness now turned into battles to be had in broad daylight with an ever increasing level of violence for which, more often than not, the innocents paid with their lives. Weak, confused and scared, humans tried to stop the war by wiping out the paranormals altogether. Instead they found themselves taking sides and forming alliances that did nothing to bring the peace they originally sought. By the time the Great Treaty was signed, well over 2/3 of the world's population had been wiped out. Now everything seems to be peaceful and the anger that once fueled the conflicts is nowhere in sight. The few rogues that dare to break the rules are quickly disposed of by the dispatched hunters and every time evil shows its ugly head, it is efficiently eradicated. This is how Damian likes his world. He's seen the worst of what once was, felt the pain of loss and doesn't wish to relive any of it. The questions of the past of how and why the war had started in the first place are safely locked in the darkest corners of his mind. As long as there is peace there is no need to question anything. Is there? Determined to stay out of all things violent Damian finds himself doing just the opposite when trouble lands right on top of him. Soon enough he finds out that even in the perfect world he thinks he's living in there are secrets hidden behind innocent smiles that can hardly wait to see the light of day. Fair warning: This book will contain some MxM couples with their romantic entanglements, and even one(or more) three-way relationship, so don't be surprised or complain.

Grave snapped his eyes open breathing heavily then closed them back tightly praying that the lingering images would go away. He tried desperately to put some hint of order in the chaos that was his mind, but felt he didn't have enough energy for it. Why did that dream always come back to him in the worse moment? He stared at the dark ceiling of his quarters for a moment longer then got up. He threw his legs over the edge of the bed and without even bothering to put his boots on he staggered into the bathroom. He turned on the lights, went straight for the sink and froze. In the virtual screen of the mirror someone had placed a picture of him sleeping and had the audacity to write the words 'how cute' under it. He looked down at his naked body and back at the image, registering the bruise on his left shoulder that he had in common with his virtual self. She had been here, in his room a few moments ago. He vaguely remembered the voice in his dream and sighed exasperated, just before realization hit him. Scurrying to get his clothes on he almost fell twice, then bolted for the cargo bay to check on his crates. He opened box after box, but nothing seemed to be missing. Still, he tried to push the feeling of relief away until he could check...He reached one of the smaller cases and looked inside. His client promised him a reward that would set him up for a long time from now for this item. It was rare and extremely hard to get not to mention that he'd wasted some really good equipment while trying to attain it. He doubted his client would understand the joke behind the piece of paper that was lying at the bottom of the box with a smile drawn on it. - Damn that woman!

Easternport used to be a major trading hub for the whole continent. It wasn't a giant city, but it was a prosperous city. But in such a short time, sectarian violence and gang wars turned the city upside-down. Now the gangsters, or the "society members" as they want to be called, are in charge. And all eyes are turned to watch four foolish teenagers challenge the whole city for the right to do whatever the hell they want. I don't think anyone knows what it is that they want. But Steven seems to think that they will give us back our dignity or something. --Chief Officer Howell, Easternport Police Note to self: Request Chief Howell to write another draft. This one is no good. --Steven Buccanan Cover Art brought to you by @TessRebellious @TessRebellious Doing all my visual media because she's lovely and I'm poor and broken and pitiful.

{Completed} Highest Ranking: # 1 in Fantasy (01/28/17) Book. 1 My blood boiled at the thought of one of them in our streets, hidden in plain sight, perhaps even by one of the kids from the orphanages. Would it murder innocent human children? You bet. Would it even think twice about gutting a starving child? Never. What could do this, you're probably asking. But it boils down to one single word. One word that made anger I hadn't known I possessed, roar to life like a pissed off lion. One word that sent a cold chill spider-walking down my spine. Faeries. ------------ Eve Scotts's world is divided by magic - The Order of the Seven who rules over her kingdom with a steel fist and the murderous faeries's she'll be forced to fight when she turns eighteen. Eve is a dueler, a human that dabbles in the elements to fight in underground scuffles for some extra coin to feed her fellow orphans back home. But she has a secret weapon: She can wield ice magic - a magic that is only reserved for the High Witches at court. But she makes a mistake. She exposes herself. Rumors are spreading of a small orphan girl who can wield the power of ice, and it isn't long until the Order sends one of their own to snatch up the bounty. In exchange for the secrecy of her special gift, Eve agrees to participate in the Witches Academy, where humans are taught to wield the power of the elements and become powerful witch soldiers for the Order's disposal. As Eve is drawn further into the Witch world, she risks everything to learn more about her power and her lineage. With her frozen heart melting for the Count of Night, Sebastian O'Neill, Eve is thrown into a cyclone of love, betrayal, and family drama she hadn't even known an orphan could inherit. Soon, Eve must decide: Is love, or survival more important? Word Count: 102,000.
