Andrea gets abused by her father, and treated like a maid by her mother. Andrea has no siblings, and only an aunt whom her mother refuses to let Andrea or anyone else communicate with her. Her grandparents are dead. She has no friends. She has to go to a private school because she was failing miserably at her old one. Andrea has no where to go or anything. Andrea ends up meeting Eric at her private school. They become close and Andrea gets invited to Eric's house and she realizes he's facing the same problems as herself.
