-REWRITTEN/EDIT THE ENTIRE STORY ON 7/24/17- Coughing, the smoke swirled in front of me as beams of black and white flashing lights raced across my vision, disappearing as quickly as they had appeared. My lungs ached as they tried to pull in clean oxygen, my eyes straining to see through the grey haze. Once the smoke dissipated some, I could see we had appeared in the middle of a road. It was cracked and full of potholes, the yellow lines coated with dirt and grime from over the years it seemed. Taking a better look around, it looked like a bomb had gone off and I was witnessing the remainders of a city.

I look at him, and I can see the round, salty and wet tears that are streaming down his cheeks, and I know that it was me that caused them. As I realize that, I feel awful and weak. How could I let this happen to him? And where is my heart since I am not by his side to comfort him? Now I really know how he must look at me every day Warning: Strong visual language Self-harming Suicide Suicide attempt Cussing Sexual references Note: I know some of the facts aren't right, but I have chosen to go with what works best with my story. Her father thinks he can just "fill in" for her mother but, there's no way that's possible. Daisy has changed. She died her hair purple, got tons of piercings, started failing classes, and got into fights. She thought her life was over until he came along.
