Mirai Kuroda has a Cursed Technique that treats reality like a buggy video game. She can delay her own death, make you punch yourself in the face, and crash the server. She enrolled in Jujutsu High in 2006 thinking it would be a chill job. Instead, she got stuck with a white-haired idiot who thinks he's a god, a bun-wearing softie with a hero complex, and a principal who sighs more than he breathes. This is the story of how she fell in love with the strongest, broke the rules, and maybe-just maybe-saved him from his fate. ⚠️ manga/anime spoilers

Rebecca Hasam is not a die-hard Elvis fan and never really bothered to learn about him since he was popular in her grandparents' generation, not hers. Well... she has the opportunity to learn more about him when she visits Memphis for her work as a reporter, covering a story on Elvis for Elvis Week. She gets there and meets an Elvis impersonator. After some turn of events, and to her utter shock, she finds that the impersonator is the real thing, and she has been transported to 1965. Now, she's not only a reporter, she is a stand-in actress in Elvis's movie Harum Scarum, the role of which she accepted somewhat impetuously, with a hidden motive to pick Elvis's brain for her story. She just wants to do that, not be utterly smitten with his charm, good heart and killer smile and voice.

Cassie Kent has been a superhero for two years-long enough to know a cape doesn't make the world safer or simpler. Chicago is loud, chaotic, always teetering on disaster. She spends most days airborne, extinguishing literal and figurative fires. She works alone by choice, avoiding teams, politics, and especially the Guardians of the Globe. Their repeated offers and polished speeches can't shake her gut feeling: something's off. Trust, she's learned, gets people hurt. Off-duty, her life is painfully ordinary. She lives with her older cousin Clark, who tries to carve out some normalcy-though "normal" was never on the table. School is tolerable noise and expectations; she's not popular, not invisible. Sharp-tongued, stubborn, and unapologetically herself, Cassie doesn't bother impressing anyone-especially not her annoying neighbor, Mark Grayson. Mark is irritating in a specific way: awkward, nerdy, stubbornly convinced they're friends despite her reminders they're not. He tries too hard, asks too many questions, orbiting her life like a persistent moon. She dismisses him as background noise she'll forget after graduation. Then Mark confesses he has powers. One revelation shatters her carefully built walls. Mark isn't just a weird kid-he's dangerous, unpredictable, tied to a larger story neither asked for. It pulls Cassie into events she wanted no part of: uncovering the truth about Mark's father, realizing one of the world's greatest heroes might be its biggest threat, and accepting that staying sidelined isn't an option anymore. As secrets unravel and good vs. evil blurs, Cassie must question everything-heroism, trust, herself. Working alone keeps her safe, but it won't save the world. Teaming up with people she doesn't trust may be the only way to stop what's coming.

Sarai Ilerion has called Lunathion home for as long as she can remember. She has always done her duty as a Wolf, protecting her people and city from the many dangers therein. At the behest of Sabine Fendyr, Sarai has begun to investigate the rise of a new drug on the streets, a drug that spells disaster for Humans and Vanir alike. As she works to untangle the mysterious web around the drug, Sarai is realizing that this might be a threat she cannot face alone. Luckily, or unluckily, the City Heads are aware of her need for a partner and already have one in mind. Following his father's orders has never been Ruhn Danaan's strong suit, and neither is working with Wolves. The last thing Ruhn wants to do is work a case alongside the wolf shifter who once humiliated him in his own home, but it seems he doesn't have a choice in the matter. His prejudices must be put aside if he is going to help protect the city and people he loves from the growing danger that surrounds them. Disclaimer: I do not own the Crescent City series or the characters and places therein. I take credit only for this story and my original characters. This story is set before the events of CC1, but will contain spoilers for both HOEAB and HOSAB Warning: This book, while being a work of fiction, still deals with real elements. There will be chapters dealing with sexual content, abuse, depression, gore, PTSD, and other topics which some might find triggering. Completed May 19, 2022 *UNSOLICITED CRITICS MAY BE MUTED* see bio

"'You don't want to do this,' Nix pleaded, squeezing her eyes shut as she struggled backward, ripping her face from his meaty hand. 'A business isn't worth a human life!' 'Oh, please,' [̸̥̉͠Ḛ̴̏r̶̺̋͋͜r̵̖̥̒ǫ̷̓̿r̵̖̘̄͗]̸̣̾͝ spat, his face contorting with disgust. 'You're barely human.'" After her world comes crashing down on her, Nix Weekly quits her job and moves to her grandfather's old farm in Stardew Valley, Capricorn Grove. Her life can't get any worse, she figures. Besides, a half-blood like her? Perhaps she'd be better off in a place with less people to snicker and sneer at her appearance. It's not like her father's looks ever did her any favors anyway. Because Nix looks like a frog. And humans don't like frogs. Or so she thought. Because when Sebastian looks at her, all he can think about is how beautiful she would look in the rain. It's a shame someone wants her dead. ------ Man, I love frogs. *TW // Blood, swords/knives/guns, war flashbacks, violence, vulgar language, death, potentially disturbing imagery, the selling of people* ; This is one of the darkest fanfictions I've ever written, so keep these TWs in mind. Word count: Approx. 60,700 [Characters belong to ConcernedApe and Chucklefish, with the exception of Nix and a handful of minor characters. The story is original, apart from key details and heart events that make Stardew Valley recognizable.]

He should hate her...much more than he hates Sorrengail. But something about her was fascinating. Artemis Melgren is everything Xaden Riorson isn't - soft, gentle and kind. But her past has made her lethal. Her father makes her a threat. And yet...he can't seem to stay away. Especially after watching her all but sprint back onto the parapet in order to save her best friend. Xaden Riorson x OC Highest Ranking: #1 in Romantasy All characters and settings belong to Rebecca Yarros, apart from my OC.
