When Everly Reed collides with the cynical and devilishly handsome Mason Valdez, she knows trouble is ahead, but she never could have guessed how much she would be drawn to the storm. ***** Nineteen-year-old Ever Reed likes when things make sense. Which is probably why she excels at math, enough to secure her a spot at an Ivy League school out of state. Sheltered by her mother and older brother Asher for most of her life, Ever hasn't experienced much of the world, but she knows New York will be an adventure. Enter Mason Valdez: cynical, arrogant, and undeniably attractive-exactly what Ever doesn't need. But as their paths keep crossing, Ever finds herself intrigued by Mason, and eager to know the boy behind the bitter mask. As secrets, scars, and painful pasts rise to the surface, Ever knows one thing for sure: they can only make it through if they face their storms together. ❝Most stories start with two people meeting each other and falling in love. Well, guess what? This isn't most stories.❞ * * * "Hello, am I talking to Miss Skylar O'Brien?" said the young but very classy man standing on my porch. "Yes, you are. Who's asking?" I frowned, unsure. "My name is Nathan Samuel and I work as an agent for the universal timeline." ''Okay? Can I help you?'' I asked. An agent for the universal timeline? What kind of job was that? "Indeed, you can. I am here because by traveling back in time, we accidentally interfered in your life and changed your future in a way we can not ignore." "What in the world are you talking about?" I stepped back, ready to slam the door in the face of this obviously disturbed guy. "Miss, please hear me out. What I'm trying to tell you is.." He paused for what seemed to be the longest wait I had ever experienced. "We acidentally stopped you from meeting the love of your life." ---- This book is registered and protected by the Canadian and USA government and under copyright laws. Sequel to "The Girl Who Stutters, and The Boy Who Mutters." Scott and Abby have been through hell and back together, will they be able to survive a few more bumps in the road, or will their relationship be exactly what everyone said it would be. Falling apart. Join Scott and Abby as they decide what's not only best for each other, but also what's best for themselves. A/N: I wrote this summary really quickly because I wanted to get this chapter posted as soon as I could. It's not my best summary but any of my readers coming from the first book, you should already understand the basis of this story. So there's really no need for a summary anyways.

"When will you accept me?'' Lucian murmured against my skin. The wonderful feeling only grew as he stepped closer, the thick muscles between our layers of clothing pressing against my back. He dipped his head. I could feel his lips against my ear when he spoke. "When, Victoria? I am tired of fighting with you. I know you want me just as much as I want you. Admit it." I couldn't. "Admit it, Victoria!'' Lucian's voice went deep when he raised it. Goosebumps prickled my entire body as he whirled me around so that we were face-to-face. I exhaled softly, hating the dominant position he had over me. Lucian wretched my chin up. His eyes were burning with a lustful smolder. "No." Oh, I would definitely get myself killed tonight. I knew my defiance was angering him further but saying I wanted Lucian would mean I was accepting defeat. And I didn't do that. Love was a game and I was determined to win it.
