Ryan, Brendon, Spencer, and Jon are all in high school. Their all each other's only friends. They're all pretty odd. Ryan is very feminine, Brendon is gay but has to hide it so his parents don't disown him, Spencers parents didn't care about him and he pretty much lived with Ryan, and Jon was just disliked by everyone because of his affiliation with the group.
