War was never an option. Neither was death or pain. Silence wasn't alive. War was never an option. It was a requirement. Silence and death stood firmly by his side. And together they forged defeat. Long live the war. Long live the war. Long live the war. ~A book of poems~

In 2018, a huge war broke out between the U.S. and it's allies against the Middle East. Why did it start? Oil. A big, fat, reserve that the politicians of the Middle East were sitting on, counting the bills as they limited it to very little. Equally important, was the problem that the U.S. faced. Kill or be killed. Before anyone else could strike, the politicians decided it'd be a good idea to change the laws of war and send in chemicals that had been under development for years. As soon as this happened, the territories surrounding Texas, itself included, wanted no part in what was happening, and they resorted to breaking off of the U.S. That's when it happened. That's when we lost half our military resources and our only source of oil if all else failed, and I was one of the first responders after other attempts failed... And it totally changed my life. This was done as an English project for high school (passed in two months ago), and has now become a part of the plot in my main book, 'Heroes' Decision'.
