This is a story about toast. Of course other non-toast-related things happen too. There's a girl in it who falls in love with a boy (how nuanced), a wicked stepmother who could use some Xanax, and a dating app that should really be deleted. But it's mostly about toast.

Brielle was just an ordinary college student who just finished her first year. Okay, scratch ordinary and replace it with a mermaid who lives on land. When she finds sees the new guy living in her house with her, he looks familiar. And then she realized, she has definitely met him and not on normal terms. The real challenge is, will she be able to keep this mermaid thing a secret or will it all fall apart? This was originally the story for #OnceUponNow but I'm going through edits to make it a longer and less rushed story!
