As Angmar prepares its final assault on the Kingdom of Arthedain, twin half elves from a doomed house will determine the fate of the Line of Isildur forever. Can be read fandom blind! * * * * * * * For five hundred years, Rínior and Maedeth, the last descendants of Fëanor through his son Caranthir, have aided Arthedain in its war against Angmar. Rínior protects the southern border as the famed Hero of the North. He will do anything to protect his wife and young daughter, but five hundred years is a long time to be surrounded by death and destruction. Despair nips at his heels. Elrohir cautions him to look for light amidst the endless darkness. Maedeth serves the kings as a councilwoman and trusted emissary. She worries for her brother's safety while sitting at home in a dying kingdom, but after five hundred years she is given a mission which she cannot afford to fail. Elladan refuses to leave her side, guarding her on her journey. But the doom of Mandos is not far behind. With Celebrimbor dead, only the twins remain of Fëanor's line. And perhaps in the twilight of Arthedain, the words spoken after the first kinslaying will finally come to fruition: "For blood ye shall render blood, and beyond Aman ye shall dwell in Death's shadow." * * * * * * * Rated: M, for graphic depictions of war Based on: The Lord of the Rings Appendices and The Silmarillion More info inside
