I didn't believe her either, until a handsome, other-worldly king showed up to claim me as his bride. However, when monsters from Alvar's world kidnap my best friend, I find myself whisked away to his realm marrying him anyway. "Welcome to the Halfing Academy!" Everett Lily announced proudly, flickering her fingers to produce a combination of fire and lightening. I stared in awe and adoration as my eyes took in the view in front of me. I was here. I was really here. I couldn't believe it. I had heard about the academy in whispers around the castle walls, but never believed it to be true. I never imagined it could actually exist. I never thought that I, the son of a blacksmith could ever make it here. "As Kings and Queens in waiting, your time here will be spent learning the intricacies of all that is... and it is our expectation that when you leave, you will be ready to take up the positions of power your destiny has handed to you." Everett Lily continued, switching her fire and lightening special effect to ice chariots hanging in the air. It was all surreal. Not only did the academy exist, the rumors were true. The greatest magic in all of Terrianus was practiced here and I, a lowly servant to the castle, was going to experience it. "If this is a dream our lady, Feona, I will never forgive you." I muttered to our patron goddess, under my breath. ********************************************************************************** Update schedule for this story is Wednesdays and Saturdays.
