Beatles fan fiction. Della Milton and George Harrison lived on opposite sides of Upton Green, Speke, Liverpool, in the 1950s. Born three weeks apart they soon became childhood best friends. George grows up and becomes lead guitarist in the phenomena that is The Beatles. It takes him far and away from that small oval green in Liverpool and gives him experience and opportunities he could never have imagined. But Della's not concerned about George's fame and fortune. He'll always be her friend, her confidant and her rock. He's as close to her as family. Sometimes she thinks he's the only one in the world she can call a friend. He'll always be the same, he'll always be there for her... won't he? Beatle: George Genre: Romance Warnings: Bad language, explicit adult situations, loads of angst, sex and rock & roll. Status: Began 29/10/17, in progress, updated each Sunday. Feedback, votes & comments are very much welcome and appreciated! For readers who've previously read Shelter In Your Love, you might find this similar in theme and style, but hopefully not *too* much! There are also a few conscious changes to real life events in the timeline of this story - they've been changed for narrative purposes. © Miss O'Dell 2017 This is a work of fiction. As such, it should not be read as a factual account of events or biography. While many characters bear the names of actual people they & their actions and words have been imagined by me, the author, and posted here for entertainment purposes only.

*sequel to In Your Atmosphere* 1966 was a year of seismic changes for the Beatles. A lot can happen in one year, and no one knows this better than The Beatles themselves. Life turns from the regular mundane, and sometimes even scary push and pull of Liverpudlian life, to a rush of gigs, recordings, and meetings. Sleep is luxury and an excessive work ethic is necessary. For John, a man always in need of sort of rebellion, this set responsibility and structure in his life feels insufferable. Despite the fact that he's almost at the height of his career, and that he's doing exactly what he imagined he would be when he got his first guitar, he's not happy. Manager Brian Epstein finds one medium that, no matter what, pulls John in and captures his attention; the art of story making and literature. In order to keep John sane, or at least functional and happy, Brian pairs him with one of Liverpool's upcoming journalists, Evelyn Sinclair. A ghostwriter of sorts, she works with the man to create stories, write about special events, and allows John to express himself on a different spectrum than songwriting. What happens when Evelyn finds out that perhaps John's in need of a bit more than a writing partner, though? What happens when the articles John gives her are more than just the typical things she was expecting; more than the run-of-mill day-to-day Beatle schedule? What will happen when she decides upon herself to stop publishing them? This is story of two people: John Lennon and the journalist that hid it all. © 2017 WINSTONOBOOGIE Disclaimer: This is a Beatles fanfic, meant solely for entertainment purposes. This should not be read as a biography or be thought of as a nonfiction piece. Evelyn and every piece of dialogue in this is (sometimes) conjuncture and most of the time complete and utter imagination.
