In order to keep John sane, or at least functional and happy, Brian pairs him with one of Liverpool's upcoming journalists, Evelyn Sinclair. A ghostwriter of sorts, she works with the man to create stories, write about special events, and allows John to express himself on a different spectrum than songwriting. What happens when Evelyn finds out that perhaps John's in need of a bit more than a writing partner, though? What happens when the articles John gives her are more than just the typical things she was expecting; more than the run-of-mill day-to-day Beatle schedule? What will happen when she decides upon herself to stop publishing them?
