Though she was brought to Camp Half-Blood after running away from the foster system, she still feels as if she doesn't quite belong. Until the day she is called to go on a quest with Luke Carson and stubborn Mariana Patterson, and her life twists in many ways. Even before the quest was announced, Avia had been fortold of her death on the quest numerous times. The knowledge has been shoved into her face in quite a few prophecies, and she has sometimes been reminded of it by the people she loves most. Overwhelmed with questions, Avia tries her best to survive the quest with nothing but a small knife, a bow given to her by her father, and the two demigods that accompany her.
