After everyone finally left, leaving me and my-few-hours-after-to-be-married-daughter and the bustle hushed down, I made Raina look at me in the eye and asked, " kya hua Raina? Beta kuch Baat hai kya? Tum pareshaan lag rahi ho... Kya Baat hai beta mujhe batao... " Raina looked up at me with eyes full of traitorous tears which spilled and flowed down her cheeks... She whispered in moist and a meek voice.. "Maa..*sob* papa ke pass chale thodi deer ??" I looked all around the room but Raj was no where to be seen... I nodded at Raina and we headed towards the back garden of our house...

I stretched my arm to grab it and bust my anger out on the caller. But as soon as I got a hold on my phone, all my anger was replaced by astonished and worry as I glanced at the caller ID. It was my mother calling! I immediately released my doubled fist that I had kept a hold on and the first question that crossed my mind was--- Ma ne mujhe call kyun kiya? unhone toh kabhi bhi working hours main ya duty ke time pe call nahi kiya-- balki unhone toh mujhe last one-month main call hi nahi kiya-- last time jab kiya tha, tab hospital se kiya tha. Shayad--- I left the thought hanging with millions of possibilities. All the color drained off my face as I thought about the call she made from the hospital and I could no longer feel the pain in my head, thinking for all the possibilities she must have called for, made my pain numb. As soon as I felt life returning to me with some senses, I quickly received the call leaving all those lifeless maps, graphs, files, journals and what not, dumped open on the table. I am sure I heard mom sniffing and maybe she gulped down a sob to prevent its escape.
