A story of how a depressed girl gets beat up by her abusive boyfriend and can't seem to leave him because she's so intoxicated on the way he makes her feel. Until Shawn Mendes comes along and writes this song about domestic violence towards the depressed girl and saying how he can treat her better then he can. Will she end up finding her way towards Shawn and leaving her abusive boy friend behind or will she stay with the one who ruined her?
