Aerith always believed she was an ordinary mortal-clumsy, geeky, and completely out of place in the world. But on the eve of her 18th birthday, she discovers a shocking truth: she's no ordinary girl, but the long-lost daughter of the Fates, destined to rule the Underworld as Hades' queen. Thrown into the realm of gods and monsters, Aerith must learn to navigate her new life among immortal beings, where loyalty and power shift like the winds. Tutored by gods, pursued by ancient rivalries, and bound to Hades-a brooding, powerful god who's been waiting for her for centuries-Aerith faces the daunting challenge of learning how to rule an entire realm while still figuring out how to be herself. Can she rise to the challenge of ruling alongside the enigmatic Hades, or will the forces that oppose her destiny tear their fated union apart? With humor, heart, and a touch of magic, Aerith must learn the ropes of royalty and love in a world where even the gods themselves play by their own rules. How to be a Queen is a fun and fresh take on Greek mythology, blending romance, adventure, and self-discovery into an unforgettable journey through the immortal world.

[BxB] Life was pretty average for Culver Fleet, an 18-year-old certified couch potato slash pothead. He has spent every waking breath dodging responsibilities, until one fateful day he is swooped by a magpie and is... changed. He thought he just caught the bird flu, but then he started growing wings, like a budget avian Spiderman. Birdman? No. Birdboy. Well, at least until he and his friends actually agree on a real hero name. --- Culver Fleet is your average 18-year-old boy, who goes to university when he feels like it, which is essentially never. His days are spent lounging on his couch with his laptop on his stomach, sharing a joint with friends or dodging life's responsibilities. He does nothing and is nothing, but he has no problem with that. In fact, he enjoys it. No expectations, no responsibilities, no worries. But that all ends when Culver gets swooped by a magpie on a seemingly mundane trip to pick up some weed. A scratch and a peck, and suddenly he's growing wings and other avian attributes. And what's a boy supposed to do when he's suddenly a budget avian Spiderman and there are plenty of bad people causing havoc in the world? Well, be a superhero, of course. This is the story of a lazy suburban Birdboy (name pending), his friends and their journey to save the world, one swoop at a time.

[BxB] Alexander Smith has a love-hate relationship with trashy online novels, scoffing at the problematic main leads, clueless protagonists and the rampant use of cliches. He never understood why the kind protagonist always chose the abusive 'badboy' main lead in every inane love-triangle, especially when there was a wholesome, gentle second lead head-over-heels in love with her that was, frankly, the key ingredient for a fulfilling and loving relationship. So, when Alexander is in a fatal accident and his soul is transplanted into the fictional body of his most hated 'badboy' main lead, he makes it his new life's mission to rewrite the story - he will make the protagonist fall for the kind second lead, he will reinvent his character to be a functional member of society, and he will definitely, definitely stay out of drama. But hey, this is fiction, and fiction loves drama. *** Note: this story is in no way referencing or making fun of any books online (well, none apart from my own), and I am in no way hating on cliches - I am a sucker for the project partners cliche and 'forced to share a bed' trope. [BxB] Waking up next to someone after having a little too much to drink was no new, riveting story in this day and age. Waking up next to another boy, when you were also a boy, was a little more interesting, but still nothing to write home about. But waking up in Nico Beckett's sheets? To Wesley, it was a nightmare come to life. ~~~ Wesley Dillon's life was uneventful, and frankly, he liked it that way. He didn't get into trouble, he kept his grades up, he played it safe. He never did anything to rock the boat he was floating in, the calm waters of his lake left undisturbed. Now starting his last year in high school, Wes was content to continue living his life as he always has - but sometimes, and only sometimes, he caught himself wishing that something could make ripples in his tiny world. What he wasn't ready for were the waves that were Nico Beckett - a troublemaker, womaniser, and an incredibly popular boy at his school. He was everything Wes was not. Nico was the type of guy that Wes never wanted to associate with, but after waking up in his arms with panic in his chest and pains everywhere else, he realised that his life was going to get much, much more complicated. It took him everything to try not to drown as the waves pulled him further and further down. But, somewhere along the way, he wasn't sure that drowning was actually a bad thing. ~~~ #1 in romance (29/09/19) #1 in LGBT (07/09/2019) #1 in bxb (07/09/2019) #1 in boyxboy (08/09/2019) #1 in gay (11/09/2019) #1 in highschool (29/09/19) #1 in school (17/10/19) #1 in comingofage (01/10/19) #1 in slowburn (02/10/19) #1 in BL (04/10/19) #1 in lovetriangle (05/10/19) #1 in family (31/10/19) #1 in comingoutofthecloset (08/01/20) #1 in writtenwithpride (19/06/21) #4 in love (07/03/21)

Everyone at school knows Andrew Jennings. Missing an arm. Openly gay. But when he meets star athlete Ryan Sullivan in therapy, can friendship lead to more? ***** When Andrew 'Jacky' Jennings ends up in therapy after an English assignment gone wrong, he doesn't expect to find his high school's star athlete, Ryan Sullivan, sitting in the same waiting room. After all, he and Ryan couldn't be more different: football captain, future valedictorian, and all-around nice guy, Ryan is the school's golden boy, while Andrew is known for his permanent snarl, being openly gay, and losing his left arm (along with his father and sister) in a car accident. But when Andrew learns they actually have a lot in common, he's surprised to see past the enigma that is Ryan Sullivan and his seemingly perfect life. And as the two boys begin to connect over their shared grief, depression, and teenage angst, they might just discover a little pocket of happiness for themselves -- if they're willing to fight for it.
