A Short Story intended for children, but then takes a very dark path. This is one of the first stories I ever wrote.

Thank you for considering our special school. As in the title, our school is for the unique and extraordinary. A few questions before we go further: 1. Are you different than your friends? If we were all forced to wear a symbol on ourselves, what would yours say? We never saw it coming, it came so fast. It stung so bad the heat was too much to handle. Now we all have the mark. But we keep going hoping to find a cure for the world. A cure from the disease that changed us all in the first place.
