You think you have freedom, but that vanished long ago. I'm Kaiden Pechman and I have faced more than anyone could know. I was consumed by the government run organization where children are taken in and trained until the age of twenty-one. I was the most successful student ever seen. To them that was good. It was an opportunity. But to me it was a loss. Not of a life, but of an identity. My identity had already been stripped of me. My passed was forced to be forgotten. But most importantly my knowledge of right and wrong was gone... Was there any way to save me? Would it even be worth it? The blood on my hands is a small thing compared to all the evil I have done. She'd shown up at the bookstore every day since the start of the winter season with a pen, a journal, and a pad of post-it notes stuffed in her bag. She spoke in metaphors, and sarcasm rolled off of her tongue like it was second nature to her. Her name was December, and Greyson Kaye couldn't keep himself from falling hopelessly in love with her.

Disowned. Rejected. Alone. These are the results of Cara's unplanned pregnancy. Her family doesn't want her, so she's shoved into the foster system. All around her, people are encouraging her to "choose life" for her baby, to do anything but abort, and calling her names if she thinks anything different. It seems like no one really cares about the mother of this child; they only care about the unplanned pregnancy and fighting for its rights. To say the least, Cara is shocked and wary when a nice couple decides they want to be her foster parents. They could've chosen anyone, but they wanted her, knowing she was pregnant. In a time when everyone is telling her to think about the child, Cara can't help but feel grateful that someone out there sees HER before they see her growing belly.

A not good one that lead to something she thought she couldn't change about herself. That was until she went to camp, and that's when God took ahold of her life and made her a soul on fire. AUTHOR NOTE: I would like to say that "Camp" is currently being revamped quite a bit. so if you've read that version and are jumping to this one, the characters stories and interactions are quite different than in this book! please bear with me! 'Heroes In Love' tells the tale of stupidity and childish pride, reckless action and running away from problems. But this is not a classic. When Kitty first meets Harry, she experiences a boldness such as she's never felt before and acts upon impulse chasing Harry across counties. Harry was never expecting to meet someone like Kitty. The goal after escaping the noose was simple: escape, take every moment of happiness and keep, keep moving; but Kitty wouldn't let that happen. This short story picks up two of the mangiest, vain, shallow and generally horrid characters from literature and makes them heroes through the power of love.
