I'll keep this short, since I've discovered I'm horrible at blurbs and it's best to get straight to the point. At least the story is a LITTLE better than the blurbs.... Hopefully. You be the judge of that. Moving on, this is a fanfiction of Ghostbird where Sang is frenemies with Gabriel in elementary school. The boys leave for the Academy though, and she think's they're gone for good until they show up at registration for senior year at her highschool. When she and Gabriel are put in the same space.... well, the dynamics are unchanged. But they're all older, and Gabriel recognizes the look in her haunted eyes.... and it makes him wonder. What's happened to Trouble all these years? And when Sang meets the rest of the group once more, as well as the additions of Silas, North, Owen and Sean what will she think? When they start breaking through her smart-ass facade, how does it change the dynamic that's been there since childhood? In this twist on the Ghost Bird Series, we see Sang Sorenson left on her own at 17 and coming up on her senior year. Her dad finally tells her about a family she never knew existed and that they left her everything in Charleston, South Carolina. This Sang is different from the one we know. She endured her step-mothers punishments her whole life, but instead of becoming scarred of the outside world - she became determined to live. She doesn't want to end up a shut-in like her or afraid of everyone like her half sister Marie. So when her father tells her to leave, she does exactly that. The Blackbourne and Toma teams have been one large team for a year now, ever since Kayli left the Toma team in pieces. They have a new assignment at the worst high-school in Charleston, Ashley Waters. Half the teaching population quit last year and some very shady things have been going down at the school. The team has decided to infiltrate the school as staff and students but what they weren't prepared for in a new blond firecracker who may just be the key to figuring out this assignment but also to their hearts. The Blackbourne team and Toma Team are in need for a detective on their team. They have everything a team part of the Academy needs except for a detective to help them solve the harder and trickier cases. They are assigned with a case to go undercover to Ashley Waters and find out where all the money goes to, and also the amount of deaths in the school. The Academy assign a detective on their team for the case but how will the Blackbourne and Toma team, work with the one and only Sang Sorenson a top solo detective from the Academy, who's convinced by Dr. Roberts to try working with teams again.
