"You're so beautiful," he breathes to me and strokes my cheek. "I'm not, though. It's just the mask." I tell him hopelessly. "Let's take the mask off and see," his hand travels to the mask on my face, held in place by a thin elastic band. "No!" I shout and stumble away from him. "Don't." I plead to him. "But I want to know what my future queen looks like." His words send shock waves through my body and I'm frozen. He takes the opportunity to swiftly reach for my face mask and slide if off. Before he can see my face and see how unfit I am to be his queen, I turn. And run in the opposite direction. "Wait! Can I at least get your name?" I hear him shout. I swallow hard before turning halfway to him. "Max." ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××. The Innocent Thief. Copyrights © 2016. All rights reserved.

"What the hell was that?" He hollered, pointing his finger to the ceiling. I cringed as his voice echoes through the room and the door slams shut. "Um..." I stutter. "Uh..." "What did I say about music?" Spit came flying and he looked like he was ready to bust a vein. If this was a different situation and I wasn't about to get beat to a pulp, I probably would have laughed. Scratch that- I definitely would have laughed. But as you can clearly tell, I'm not in a different situation. {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} The Band Next Door. Copyright © 2015. All rights reserved.
